Geraldton Air Conditioning, Refrigeration and Electrical

Frig Tech Geraldton commenced in October 2008 when Ashley realised the need for a commercial refrigeration and air conditioning contractor in the Midwest area. Whilst also completing domestic installations and repairs it was the remote locations of many towns and businesses, including mine sites, which were really calling out to Ashley. Having grown up in Carnarvon on a banana plantation Ashley knew firsthand how difficult it could be to get experienced tradesmen especially in times of emergency breakdowns. Ashley offered a 7 day/24 hour service and his vast experience of over 20 years and wide range of contacts in the industry soon saw him expand his one man band to employing local tradesmen and taking on apprentices. Ashley moved his home office based business to Anderson Street in Webberton but soon that building site became too small for the ever expanding business and the decision was made to move to Allen Street, Wonthella where the Geraldton Branch, now the Head Office, operates from today .

Frig Tech Geraldton branch currently employs 7 technicians with technicians from both the Electrical and Refrigeration and Air Conditioning industries including Ashley’s oldest son, Travis who completed his final year of training in 2017 by winning ‘apprentice of the year’ and Nathan who is currently completing his second year of Training. Ashley also employs 3 administration staff who look after and manage the majority of administration work required to be completed by a business employing over 50 people across 2 states.
